Angela Wilson

Angela Wilson, Director of Community Organizing and Planning at ECN, holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Social Work from Wayne State University and a certificate in Community Based Economic Development from the Development Training Institute.

She has over 30 years of experience working in Community Development, City Government, and Job Training.

Angela has lived her whole life and has spent most of her career on Detroit’s Eastside.

She spent the first nine years of her professional career with the Warren Conner Development Coalition (now ECN), and returned to work for the organization in 2017.

She was recruited by Detroit Mayor Dennis Archer and served in his administration as a Group Executive for eight years.

Following her time with the Mayor’s office Ms. Wilson returned to the Community and has worked at the Detroit Catholic Pastoral Alliance, Communities In Schools Detroit, Young Detroit Builders, a YouthBuild Program, and as part-time faculty at Wayne State University School of Social Work.
