Jennifer Young – Secretary
Jennifer holds a Masters of Science in Resource Policy & Behavior from the School for Environment and Sustainability at the University of Michigan, and a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Eastern Michigan University.
As a Project Manager at Michigan Interfaith Power & Light, Jennifer coordinates outreach to faith communities across the state in regards to utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs. Jennifer serves on numerous nonprofit boards and commissions including the City of Ferndale Environmental & Sustainability Commission and Talbiyah Inc.
In 2019 she was awarded an Outstanding Leadership in Sustainability Award for her participation with the U.S. Green Building Council Detroit Region and volunteer service on the Sustainable Detroit Forum planning committee.
Jennifer’s passion for serving youth and the community leads her to participate in the Association for Youth Empowerment, and she is delighted to be a part of empowering youth to create the Beloved Community.
